Jeeps and rooms start from these numbers. You can overrule the rooms.
Set these once. Every day picks them up.
Click a day to open it. Park fees and room rates change day to day, so they live here.
Cost against margin.
Money out. Nothing below changes this.
Three tiers worked out from your cost. Guides only \u2014 none of them is your invoice.
Type the price you settled on. It does not have to match the suggestions.
Two people sharing a double is one room. Four in a quad is still one room. The tool pairs everyone up to start with, but you can type over it \u2014 three travellers who each want their own bed is three rooms. Rooms can never be more than travellers.
Each day has one room rate, so every room that night is treated as costing the same. When they don\u2019t, add the prices up and divide by the number of rooms. Each day has a helper that does it for you.
5 travellers, 2 rooms
$210 + $420 = $630
$630 \u00f7 2 rooms = $315
Type $315. The tool gives back $630.
A lodge charges this when someone occupies a room alone. If you already counted that person\u2019s room in the rooms box, you have paid for it once \u2014 adding the supplement charges you twice. Most of the time, leave it at zero.
Fill in the adult rate. Leave the child rate blank and children are charged the adult rate. The vehicle or crater fee is per jeep, not per person.
Direct customer is your full price, for a traveller who comes to you. Tour operator is lower, for an agent who sends you clients \u2014 they bring volume and add their own margin before selling on. Special tour operator is your best rate, for a partner you want to keep. The copper figure beside each is the same markup in dollars.
Markup is measured against your cost. Margin is measured against the selling price. Add 20% to a cost of $1,115 and you get $1,338 \u2014 but that $223 is only 16.7% of what the client pays.
Want a true 20% margin? Divide the cost by 0.8, not times 1.2.
Margin is what you charged minus what the trip cost. If the margin percentage sits frozen no matter what price you type, the cost side has collapsed to zero \u2014 check your day costs, not the margin.
